Davao, Bloggers Networking and Slot Machines

Me and my sister, Irene, went to Davao last Tuesday to take part in the DigitalFilipino.com Club and Bloggers Networking Event held at the Grand Regal Hotel. Nearly a hundred delegates participated in the event sponsored by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

It was a night of networking, live band, free food and drinks and of course gambling. Each of the participants were given the opportunity to introduce themselves, talk about their online interests and advertise their blog addresses. Afterwards, e-commerce expert Janette Toral, gave a presentation of sites that made it in the top 100 compiled by Ratified.org. I was surprised to learn that several sites with the blogspot domain made it to the list, so I guess it all goes down to content.

After the event, my sister and I stayed behind and try our luck at the slot machines of the hotel's casino. Needless to say, we won a reasonable amount of money. In short, our Davao visit was a blast!
