I missed the past two years of the annual Kaamulan Festival here in Bukidnon. Today, I had the opportunity to witness the much-awaited street dancing event (our house is just along the street so we pretty much have the bird's eye view of the dancing). I noticed that each entry prepared a lot based on their native attires, floats and others although there are lesser contingents this year (due to the burgeoning expenses, i heard). The coverage of the event can be gleaned on this site: www.bukidnononline.com (which my sister owns).
Amusingly, the famous Jollibee mascot began roaming along the streets probably in an attempt to entice customers to avail of the breakfast meal. As usual, the kids were screaming as if they saw Santa Claus or something. I'm not sure if the ruse worked (Jollibee is just situated beside our house).
As usual, artists from Manila were "invited with pay" to this rural city to entertain the public. The band Callalily, famous loveteam Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson and John Pratts will be performing tonight at the Capitol Grounds. San Miguel Beer-sponsored band Kamikaze will perform tomorrow.
Well, gotta go. Have to watch the event. Good thing, my family has the all-access pass to these events. I'll probably try having a photograph with the artists. Ciao!

A rumor, brewed from the West, reached our village. The world would end. And
the giant one would tell us how. It was a long and heated debate.
